Young MultiParkers Fika with Marc Diamond (before Frontiers Seminar)
Hello all Young MultiParkers,
We’re honored to invite all of you to a wonderful event to expand our knowledge in neuroscience!
We’ll host a fika with the one and only Marc Diamond, M.D.
He’s the founding director of the Center for Alzheimer’s and Neurodegenerative Diseases in UT Southwestern Medical Center in the United States. He’s a renowned researcher in the neurodegeneration field, specializing in tau and prion-like spread. He leads many studies in some of the hottest topics of our field, with many years of experience, you probably have read some of his papers! It’s a complete honor to have him in the BMC, and MultiPark has organized a Frontiers Seminar with him that you can’t miss (https://www.multipark.lu.se/calendar/frontiers-neuroscience-seminar-molecular-mechanisms-tau-prion-replication).
That very same day, 2 hours before the seminar, from the Young MultiParkers we took the chance on organizing a fika with him. The idea is for all PhDs and postdocs who are interested in neurodegeneration to come, and share one hour with him to ask ANYTHING! Questions about the controversial topics he specializes in (like protein spread in the brain, prion-like diseases, tau aggregation, and more), general questions about the brain, and career issues one can face in academia. You can’t miss this activity!
Our fika will take place on 5th of April, from 2-3 PM, in Segerfalksalen (same room as the seminar happening afterwards). Please register in this link so we know how many people to count for fika (before March 31st):https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfyv8-spuBy3woEVfVoVLPHrLHwZwWqN5M7be5B2emu3cHTgA/viewform
