Zeiss Axio Imager M2

Now open to MultiPark is a Zeiss Axio Imager M2 system, which has been brought into the environment with the intention of serving as a large image acquisition system. Originally bought in 2012, the microscope was rarely used in the following decade as the purchasing lab moved away from Lund later that year. In 2023, the decision was made to bring the microscope into MultiPark as it was still in excellent quality and is a model still in production. Upgrades were then made to update the microscope’s cameras, computer, and software, and the system was made available for use starting early 2024.

The microscope is an upright system and equipped with a Zeiss ApoTome 2, which allows for imaging with structured illumination.

Using the system

New users will need to undergo training before being allowed to use the system. To request training, please contact Megg at megg [dot] garcia-ryde [at] med [dot] lu [dot] se

Booking the system is done beforehand via an Outlook calendar.

At the system, users must fill in an entry in the log sheet.

There is currently no cost for using the system as all are welcome to try out the system during this startup phase to see whether it could be suitable for their experiments/projects.
