Evidence-based clinical guidelines

Our senior researchers contribute to the development of national and international evidence-based (GRADE) clinical guidelines since 2014, advancing standards of care across the field. Below are some examples:

Swedish evidence-based (GRADE) guidelines for physiotherapy in people with Parkinson’s disease. Fysioterapeuterna, 2018.
Maria H Nilsson’s was the project leader. The guidelines were approved (by Fysioterapeuterna) as national guidelines in 2018.

Swedish National guidelines for care of MS and Parkinson’s disease- prioritization support for decision makers and managers. The National Board of Health and Welfare, 2016.
Per Odin was chair of the scientific group. The following senior researchers were involved in evidence grading scientific literature: Andreas Puschmann, Gesine Paul-Visse and Oskar Hansson. The following senior researcher was involved in the prioritization work: Håkan Widner.

Rehabilitering och delar av försäkringsmedicinskt arbete – generisk modell.
The generic model for rehabilitation was produced by Kunskapsstyrning Hälso- och sjukvård (2020-2023). The model should be applied to all health care processes regardless of the diagnosis. Jan Lexell was part of the working group and co-author of the final document.

Swemodis guidelines for evaluation and treatment of Parkinson´s disease were first launched in 2007 and have since then been updated 9 times. Per Odin, Håkan Widner, Gesine Paul-Visse and Andreas Puschmann are co-authors, Odin and Widner in all Versions since 2007.
