Clinical Memory Research Unit

We focus on developing accurate methods for the early diagnosis of neurodegenerative diseases, e.g., Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease. Our research also aims to unravel the pathological events in humans during the pre-symptomatic and prodromal stages. Finally, we work to improve clinical trials evaluating new disease-modifying therapies.

Our aims are to revolutionize diagnostic and prognostic methods for the timely diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and related disorders. We also aim to improve the design of clinical trials evaluating novel disease-modifying therapies in pre-symptomatic or prodromal disease. In addition, we study molecular events occurring in these diseases to identify relevant disease subtypes. We also take part in the development and validation of effective therapies.

Our models will democratize the diagnostics of Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson’s disease globally, thereby contributing to MultiPark’s strategic goal of improving diagnostics and prognostics for neurodegenerative diseases. Effective disease-modifying therapies that can be initiated during the earliest disease stages of these disorders would have a substantial impact not only on the affected individuals but also on health-care economics and society as a whole, in line with MultiPark’s goal to develop innovative treatments with strong societal impact.
